Report on Ministry to the Military and Orphans in Latvia October 2015
I had a very busy but rewarding week, criss- crossing Latvia to various military bases. Comments have indicated that my seminars were very well received and the message seems to have been very timely. There were many looks of appreciation in soldiers’ eyes as the mes- sage entered their hearts. Time will tell as the word bears fruit in their lives. The first seminar was to the Military Police and that's normally the acid test as to whether I've hit the target or not. The message was well received. The 2 National Guard Bases that we visited that day received the strong challenge well. The following day we drove to the West Coast to the Naval Base at Liepaja. On Wednesday we were at the Infantry School, the Military Supplies Unit, and the Military HQ. It was a busy day of traveling on roads that weren’t the best, but the message got planted

Odessa Update
Arriving in Odessa we were hosted by our delightful friends, Pastor Oleg and Tanya Vasilchuk and their beautiful baby daughter, Abigail. We enjoyed a walk around this picturesque old city filled with historical buildings and landmarks like the famous opera house. Then it was down to business visiting the Youth Gym Club that Oleg created with the homeless teenagers who once lived in the drains under the city of Odessa. A few years ago Oleg led to Christ, the European welterweight kickboxing champion, Igor Manjul, and his wife, Anastasia, who are assets in the church. Igor trains these rugged youngsters with the physical and emotional disciplines of these sports. Three times a week they meet in a rented gym and have a fellowship meeting with prayer, testimonies, and a short Bible study, and then get into training. Children Camps
Everytime we start planning toward the children’s camp, I feel a slight sense of shiver going through my soul. It has always brought us as a team to the place of complete self-effort bankruptcy and complete and full dependence on God! The words of Jesus “do not hinder little ones to come to Me” always brought us to the place of soberness. How do we plan the program the way that it does not hinder them to see Jesus? How do we present Jesus in a way that they truly experience His presence? How do we preach the Word for them to get a revelation of Christ? One thing we have never wanted to be involved in is merely “fun camp”. Too much effort, too short of a time. Where is the balance between seeing them as “kids” who want to have fun and “do not hinder them to come to Me”. We have prayed a lot,
Latvian Summer Youth & Orphans Camp.
We have had two very busy and powerful weeks of camps. So far we have had two camps back to back. The Children’s Camp and the Teenager’s Camp with over a hundred people in each. Now we have two days break before another camp which is due to start Friday night! It would be wonderful to catch up with a little sleep and other things which have had to go on hold during these weeks. There are no words to describe our gratitude and thankfulness for your support towards these camps. When I see how powerfully and graciously God moves among these children as they are giving their hearts to the Lord, embracing Him as personal Savior and dedicating their lives to serve Him – my heart is so overjoyed and yet very humbled. Delightful Wedding In an old historical Cape Cod Church It was my privilege to help conduct a wedding for longstanding friends in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. John & Linda Andrewski’s son, Christian married his childhood sweetheart Lizzie (Elizabeth Munafo). The wedding was held at the West Barnstable Congregational Church that dates back to 1616. It was a delightfully joyous occasion and during my address, that included a gospel challenge, a somewhat indifferent man shouted out “Amen” that jolted everyone. I sensed that a quite few people came closer to a faith in Jesus during that beautiful service. The next morning it was a joy to preach two morning services at Living Hope Family Church in Hyannis, Cape Cod. The worship was magnificent and the presence of god touched many lives that morning. Latvia – Ministry to the Military
The first day of seminars to the Latvian military was amazing. The weather was very cold but no snow, thank God. It is amazing that this miraculous door to the Baltic Troops has stayed open for so long – 5 years. On this first day we travelled 260 kms. On these long hops between bases we stop for refreshment breaks and to plan the strategy at the next base. I enjoyed three outreach seminars to the military police, the army headquarters and the air force base (that was a particularly excellent attendance). It’s not difficult in a crowd like that to see different emotions surfacing as the word of God touched their hearts.
