Rescue Missions Continue through the Winter
Our Dear Friends, Christmas has come around once again, following another year of war and uncertainty. Thanks to God’s grace, your prayers and your giving, the House of Hope is still standing, a beacon of light and love to those escaping from the horrors of the war in Ukraine. Likewise, the refugees who have left the country have been touched and changed by God’s people reaching out to them. The Few talking and the Many trying to survive While the superpowers discuss the future of Ukraine and try to sort out an “international solution” to this war, the daily pounding of bombs and missiles continues in all sections of the country and around the House of Hope. Europe is definitely against handing over lands and populations to create a Russian sphere of influence across the continent, and President Zelensky isn’t ready to hand over a significant portion of

The House of Hope the continuing challenges & victories
Our Dear Friends, Thank you for your powerful prayers and kind support for the orphans and families living in the House of Hope. They battle against the fear of constant bombing and the discouragement that their beloved country is being devastated. They realize that the peaceful, happy lives they once lived will not be back in their lifetime, and possibly not in their children’s lifetimes. Many thousands of young Ukrainian children who were kidnapped by Russian forces from summer camps have not seen their families for more than 4 years. I can only imagine the grief and hopelessness in their parents’ hearts when they look at their children’s empty beds and face another Christmas without their children’s happy laughter. They must say, “Will I ever see my children again? Will I ever hug my child again and hear them say, ‘I love you’?” And what about the children—developing hardened

Our Dear Friends, Thank you for your kind prayers and gifts to help the orphans and single-mother families in the House of Hope, and so many Ukrainian People whom we are helping to flee to the borders to escape at this time. Bless you for your care for the health of the sick for whom we are caring for in the House of Hope. Bless you for your encouragement to us, and thousands of needy people through us. Please continue to stand with us in prayer and support for these needs. This is the busiest and most exhausting time our teams have had in the nearly four years of this devastating war. Breakdown of Peace Talks
Thank you for your very kind support to help the orphans and single-mother families in the House of Hope in Ukraine. God bless you for your concern. We do appreciate your wonderful Partnership in the Gospel and our Rescue operations in Ukraine. Sasha, our European Manager, and I have been discussing the “Peace Talks” between the USA, Ukraine and Russia. We were very sceptical about Putin’s silence and lack of willingness to attend the peace talks in Turkey. We suspected he wouldn’t attend and could blame an underling for their mistakes in doing what Putin wouldn’t do anyway. We feel that Putin is going to crush Ukraine harder in the next few weeks to get what he wants, ore of Eastern Ukraine with a large path to the Black Sea then he will turn against a weakened NATO. The War Rages on in Ukraine
We trust that you are well and being kept by God’s great power. We want to thank you for your wonderful support and prayers for the orphans and homeless people in Ukraine. While we have been evacuating children and people out of Ukraine to safety in Germany and Norway, there are many more in the villages around the House of Hope who do not want to or cannot leave Ukraine We are continuing to support the most marginalised members of the community in the House of Hope – poor, single-mother families with small children, the sickly, and the elderly – all of whom are profoundly affected by the escalating conflict. Many of these fearful locals cannot simply flee due to health concerns, or lack of proper documents. They are bracing themselves for what they describe as “life in hell” as the Russians bombard this region. We are committed

Disrupted Christmas at a Bomb Shelter
We trust you had a very blessed Christmas and that 2025 will be the most fruitful year you’ve ever had with Jesus. Thank you for your very kind gifts to meet the needs of the orphans and needy homeless people in Ukraine at this time, while the war goes on and the missiles fall in the southern regions. In early January, one of our leaders, and her husband (dressed as Santa Claus) was conducting a small Christmas outreach for the orphans in one of the Odessa villages when the area came under bomb attack. As the bomb sirens wailed, they had to run to a nearby bomb shelter for safely. Nothing daunted, they continued the outreach party inside the bomb shelter, joined by other locals who heard the gospel too. The Slavic Christmas is normally in the first week of January but there is so much to do,
