Ukraine – Miracles in times of Misery

November 26th, 2024|

Our Dear Friends, We thank you so much for your friendship and partnership in the gospel. Bless you for your very kind help and support for the vulnerable, needy children of Ukraine. We do appreciate your faithfulness. Let us share how God has performed miracles in places and situations where your faithful support has been used by God to perform miracles in places of misery. Those of you who receive my printed news letter may remember the young couple, that I mentioned in our last newsletter – she fled Ukraine into Poland. The husband managed to escape and stumbled on foot for days to Slovakia. He managed to find his wife, who had been waiting for him in Poland. She was pregnant with their first child. They now live in Trondheim, Norway, where they have found safety and a purpose. She has just given birth to a beautiful

God Hears the Cries of the Children

September 18th, 2024|

Our Dear Friends, Two Little Ukrainian Boys – home at last Here is a tragic story of two little boys found, some years ago, in devastating circumstances in terrible conditions in Ukraine. Little 3-year-old, Sasha lost his parents in a car accident and was placed by the authorities in our Homeless Kids Centre. He just sat all day and cried, thinking his parents were coming to fetch him. He couldn’t conceive that they had died. At least he received love, care and warmth in the Centre. He was told the wonderful gospel story, and we were trusting that he would derive some element of healing for his loss. At the time, I thought, “This is all so grossly unfair. What can we do to help ease his sorrow and prepare him and other children there for a future with the Lord.” Our manager found out that little Sasha had

Reaching Out from the House of Hope

May 20th, 2024|

Reaching Out from the House of Hope We thank you so much for your wonderful friendship and partnership in the gospel. Bless you for your very kind help and support for the vulnerable, needy children of Ukraine. We do appreciate your faithfulness. While we have been evacuating children and people out of Ukraine to safety in Germany and Norway, there are many more in the villages around the House of Hope who do not want to or cannot leave Ukraine We are continuing to support the most marginalised members of the community in the House of Hope – poor, single-mother families with small children, the sickly, and the elderly – all of whom are profoundly affected by the escalating conflict. Many of these fearful locals cannot simply flee due to health concerns, or lack of proper documents. They are bracing themselves for what they

Ukraine – the increasing needs for the refugees

February 22nd, 2024|

Thank you so much for your wonderful support and help. We appreciate your kindness and generosity immensely. As you know for the past 4 years – two years of Covid and the two years of the war with Russia, we've needed to buy food from other nations and bring it into Ukraine to feed the needy in the Odessa province and in bombed sectors of Eastern Ukraine where we have access. Our drivers have a well-worn driving plan when evacuating adults and children from Ukraine. Our small 10-seater vans take them on the forest roads to the Moldova border – to avoid being conspicuous to the Russian drones who fire missiles at vehicles on the main roads. There is always the risk that these roads can have been mined with explosives too. They then cross the border at secret places and report to the border guards. The tired and very

Update on the refugees and the Ukraine

November 29th, 2023|

Our Dear Friends, We thank you so much for your wonderful friendship and partnership in the gospel. Bless you for your very kind help and support for the crushed and needy children of Ukraine. We do appreciate your faithfulness. We’ve been able to keep our focus on the needs of people that are growing worse in the horrific war situation in Ukraine. Russia (and China) and the Wars in Ukraine and Israel Rebekah Koffler, a former US Department of Defence intelligence officer and Russia expert, has said she has solid evidence of Moscow officials being involved in Hamas’ terrorist attacks on Israel. She added that the Kremlin is satisfied with the results of the attacks. Just a few days ago, a senior Hamas official, Ali Baraka, told a Russian state TV channel that the attack had been secretly planned for two years with only Hamas partners and high-ranking terrorists
