The Rescuing Increases – in Odesa
Odesa has been badly hit over recent days. The Orthodox Cathedral in Odesa has been destroyed. We are asking, why target a Cathedral, when Putin and his thugs make all the pretense's of attending services at a Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Moscow. Maybe it’s because Putin lost the support of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church when his Russian Rebel Army attacked Eastern Ukraine in 2014-2016, and they severed ties with the Russian Orthodox Church. You see, if Putin can control the Church, as he does in Russia, he can control the people, who revere and fear the church. A Jewish Orphanage with 120 children has been destroyed by missile fire. In one of the worst nights of destruction in Odesa since the beginning of the 16-month war in Ukraine, the city endured relentless missile and bomb attacks on Saturday night, with panic-stricken residents seeking safety in any available shelter as

Ukraine – A Terrible Crisis
We trust you are well at this time. Thank you for your generous gifts to meet the urgent needs of many hundreds of orphans and homeless children in Ukraine. Your generosity has encouraged us immensely. The House of Hope in Odessa suffered rain damage in a severe storm. The rain from a severe thunderstorm over Odessa began leaking into the House of Hope kitchen and undermining the foundations of the new building. Upon investigation it was found that the original kitchen foundation, built by volunteers in 2012 in the small two-storey house had this fault. The big new house was built over that kitchen. We have had professional advice to rectify the original fault, otherwise it could cause ongoing damage and growing mould and fungus that could cause infections. This is going to cost around $40,000 to repair. We’ve called in some of the builders

Amazing visit to the House of Hope, to God be the Glory
We trust that you are in good health and being blessed by our gracious Heavenly Father. We want to thank you for your concern to help us in this ministry. Bless you for your kindness that is helping the House of Hope Children be cared for and seeing so many orphans and poor village people kept safe during this war in Ukraine. The need to enter Ukraine and visit the House of Hope Sasha, our European manager, and Vitaly, who has accomplished so many trips across Europe to the House of Hope and beyond into Eastern Ukraine recently went to visit the House of Hope. There was the need to check that everything was functioning well there – that it’s being maintained properly and the people and children taking refuge there are coping in this time of turmoil in Ukraine. They were checking that all the survival packs

War in Ukraine hurting and creating a lot of needy people
We trust that you are well at this time and being kept safe by the power of God. Thank you so much for your support and your prayers that have kept the House of Hope and the children safe. From reports in the Odesa media and also the Ukraine official media outlet the invading forces are scanning social media for information confirming results of there attacks and to adjust their tactics. They have also been posing as representatives of foreign media for the same purpose. With this in mind we will not publish on the website photographs that either identify people or locations, similarly towns, other than those regularly mentioned by the media will not be named. If you receive a direct copy of our news letters please do not re-publish any part to social media. Thank you for your understanding. Rescue Van hit

Sadness and pain of the people of Ukraine
We trust that you are well and being kept by the power of God. We have been finding and caring for orphans and homeless children whom our local teams have rescued over the last 20 years in Ukraine, and we thank you for your wonderful support, and your faithful prayers that have helped the House of Hope Children stay alive and kept so many orphans safe during this senseless war in Ukraine. You are such a blessing to many needy children and destitute families in Ukraine. Crisis within the Ukraine 17.6 million Ukrainians need humanitarian assistance, and more than a third are now in extremely difficult conditions, says a UN report. Among the above-mentioned, children are suffering the most because their world (albeit poor) of reasonable security has been shattered. I am greatly moved when seeing the destruction that is occurring in the Ukraine particularly

Timely Ministry to Refugees in Norway and Germany
Sasha and I were in Norway recently looking for accommodation for the House of Hope youngsters, in the event that they should have to move there. We have found out that not all the Village buildings have to be demolished. There is a possibility that they can relocate to other buildings in the village. We have also found out that they have an extension to April 2023 and then can be relocated to Norway if there is the need. Please pray that all will work out for them not to have to move. The ministry to the refugees in Trondheim and Molde was very precious with many needy people from Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia seeking God for relief from their grief and stress. They and their children had seen and experienced atrocities that will never leave them. Only God in His mercy can pull the sting of the pain
