Ukraine – More than Just Surviving

July 21st, 2022|

Ukraine – More than Just Surviving Thank you for your effective prayers and wonderful support for the huge needs in Ukraine at present. You are keeping poor elderly people alive, providing safety in the House of Hope for people whose homes have been bombed, enabling us to house and protect orphans who have had to leave their orphanages in areas that are now under Russian control, and also evacuate so many to safety in Germany and Norway. Ever since this outrageous war broke out in February, our local teams in Odesa have been driving the two big cargo vans to many of the villages to supply Survival Packs to the elderly and poor families in the remote areas of the Odesa Province. We delivered tens of thousands of survival packs of food and hygiene products, together with picture Bibles. Since the outbreak of the war this

Victories in the midst of War in Ukraine

June 12th, 2022|

Victories in the midst of War in Ukraine I trust you are well and being kept by the power of God. Please accept my apologies for not writing earlier. I have been travelling in Europe for the last two weeks encouraging our leaders and checking on the House of Hope Children all of whom are out of Ukraine (except for the three 18-year-old boys who were eligible for military conscription – I’ll tell you about them later). Visit to Düsseldorf, Western Germany Thank you for your very generous gifts for the homeless children of Odesa now in Düsseldorf. They are still a little lost, living away from the only home they’ve ever known – the House of Hope. At least they’re safe from the terrible war situation in Odessa. The ministry I’ve just had in Norway, and in Düsseldorf, Germany, was very fruitful. It was very

News from Odesa & more

News from Odesa & more Since Dave wrote this on the 5th May the attack on the Odesa region and Odesa itself has intensified. The attacks are being carried out by rockets, missiles and drones together with the occasional shelling from vessels in the Black Sea. We do not have any reports of casualties around the area of the House of Hope. We continue to withhold publishing images of people etc. for security and privacy of all. The last few days were a frightening time in Ukraine. It was filled with challenges beyond anyone’s abilities to handle. Yesterday, several missiles hit the city centre of Odesa, leaving damage and some casualties. Later the runway and the airport building were hit, making the airport unusable for anyone, including medical rescue teams. The we heard that Odesa and the region around is under curfew and shutting down

News from Odesa, Ukraine

April 7th, 2022|

Since February 24th when the Russian Federation invaded the Ukraine we have purposely held back from posting any detail on the web site so that we could help preserve the safety, security and privacy of all peoples that we have been involved with. Much information has been emailed to the precious followers and prayer partners of the ministry. We feel that now is the right time to share through the web site some of the activity since February 24th. If you are led to support the work of the ministry the appropriate secure “links” are on this page and or the main menu above. Now to the news: Baby Orphanage in Odesa Some amazing things have happened, and some great opportunities have opened up for us, out of this ugly and senseless war. We have received a request from the Disabled Baby Orphanage in Odesa that we have supported

February Update from the House of Hope

February 18th, 2022|

February Update from the House of Hope We trust that you are well and being kept safe by the power of God. Thank you for your support and prayers for the Homeless Children and Orphans in their time of great need in Ukraine, and the finishing of the work on the House of Hope, before the war with Russia breaks out. Some people who have said, "What a terrible time for the children in the House of Hope to be so close to the goal of finishing the new big building, only to have the terrors of war bursting around them." We and our leaders at the House of Hope are saying, "None of this imminent warfare has caught God by surprise. He knew it was coming and urged us (through your support and encouragement) to press on and finish the work. We are sensing we

Getting prepared and ready at the House of Hope

December 30th, 2021|

We trust that you are well and that you’ve had a blessed Christmas season. Thank you so much for your very generous gift. We’re running in “emergency mode” at present getting the House of Hope ready for the possible increase of orphans and homeless children coming in over the next few months if the Russian Army breaks through into Eastern Ukraine again. It’s looking more and more dangerous day by day, as the UK and USA set up a NATO base in the Odessa port as threats and warnings go backwards and forwards between Russia and the Western Nations. We are stocking up on medicines, mattresses, blankets and essential foodstuffs, as well as racing to complete the building. The building is nearing completion, but the necessity is to get the two big dormitories fitted out with emergency accommodation. Bless you for your help with that vital issue. The results
